3. REGISTER’S NAME
Customer register of Finnish School Service Oy.


4. PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING
The purpose of the register is to manage, develop and manage customer relationships and other relevant contacts, as well as handling assignments, invoicing assignments and maintaining contact with current, former and possibly future clients.


5. INFORMATION CONTENT OF THE REGISTER
Our company’s customers are stored in the customer register.
We process the following information in the register:
• First and last name
• contact information (address, phone number, email)
• date of birth
• citizenship
• gender
• current school or school from which the customer last graduated
• if the person is a minor, the parents’ names and contact information


6. REGULAR INFORMATION SOURCES
The information in the register is primarily obtained from the registrant himself. In addition, personal data can be collected from authorities and other reliable sources within the limits allowed by legislation.


7. RIGHT OF INSPECTION AND RIGHT TO DEMAND CORRECTION OR DELETE OF DATA
Every person in the register has the right to find out whether the controller processes his data and, if so, the right to have the personal data checked. The provision of information can be refused if the request is clearly unfounded or unreasonable or is directed to information subject to confidentiality or non-disclosure. The registered person has the right to demand the correction or clarification of incorrect or inaccurate information, the restriction of the processing of personal data or the deletion of personal data in accordance with the requirements of Article 17 of the Data Protection Regulation. The customer can exercise his right by e-mail, post or by visiting the office in person.


8. REGULAR TRANSFER OF DATA
The data of the register can be disclosed to the necessary extent within the limits permitted and required by the applicable legislation.


9. DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION
The data in the register will not be transferred outside the EU to a party outside of Finnish School Service Oy. However, data can be transferred outside the EU to a potential employee of the controller abroad. In some cases, the transfer of data is necessary so that the student can be in contact with the local contact person. The foreign employee has a duty of confidentiality regarding the registered person’s information. However, if a data protection breach were to occur abroad, Finnish School Service Oy is responsible for all aspects.


10. DATA STORAGE
The basis for storing personal data is the validity of the customer relationship. After the end of the customer relationship and any related obligations, the information is stored for a maximum of ten years. Personal data can be stored for a longer period of time if applicable legislation or contractual obligations binding us towards third parties so require.

11. REGISTRY PROTECTION PRINCIPLES
The register information is confidential and may not be disclosed to third parties without the customer’s consent or a specific legal provision.


RIGHT OF APPEAL
A person in the register can complain about Finnish School Service Oy’s operations to the Data Protection Commissioner or file a lawsuit against the company in the district court of Varsinais-Suomen.
