Educational package

Finnish School Service Oy offers you an education and entry package to Finland. After you have successfully completed our language course, you have the opportunity to apply for a study place in Finland.

There is a severe shortage of social and healthcare workers in Finland. It is quite easy for a foreigner to get a job in Finland by attending a year-long care assistant training. The training is free. The education does not lead to an actual degree, but it gives the opportunity to be employed in support positions in the elderly and disability services. The Hoiva assistant takes care of the customers’ basic needs, such as washing, dressing, eating and going out. The salary of a Hoiva assistant is around 2,000-2,100 euros per month before taxes. After the training, you can stay in Finland to live, but this requires a new application to the Immigration Office. Of course, you can also apply to other fields of study.

We look for a suitable school place for you, and after finding a school place, we submit the student’s residence permit application to the Finnish Immigration Service. Arriving in Finland requires a residence permit, which is a rather complicated process to obtain. Getting a residence permit requires that the student has at least 6,720 euros (560 e x 12 months) to live in Finland for a year. An English account statement from your bank must be presented for this. The bank account must be in the student’s name. If the certificate is not presented, the residence permit will not be issued. Promises from relatives or friends to pay for studies are not enough.

It is also required to take out health insurance. We take this insurance on behalf of the student for a year and it is included in the package. The insurance premium is around 200 euros per year.

The price of the training and entry package is 4,500 euro.

The package includes the following activities:

  • searching for and applying for a school place on behalf of the student and communicating with the student;
  • preparing the student’s residence permit application for the Immigration Office;
  • The application fee of 350 euro and and D-viisa fee 95 euro charged by the Finnish Immigration Service. If the application fee increases, we reserve the opportunity to increase the price by the amount of the price increase
  • health insurance for one year in the insurance company Swissacare Switzerland Ltd. The maximum compensation amount of the insurance is 150,000 euros; and
  • advice on finding an apartment in Finland and assistance in practical matters for 1 year after arriving in Finland
  • Includes V.A.T. 25,5 %

The package does not include:

  • housing and living costs in Finland;
  • trips to Finland
  • translation costs

The price of the package must be paid in full to Finnish School Service Oy before we start looking for a school place. If we cannot find you a school place, we will return the money.

If the residence permit application is rejected by the Immigration Office for reasons beyond Finnish School Service Oy’s control, for example because the student does not provide the requested reports, the reports are false or the student does not have sufficient funds to study in Finland, we will charge the student 50 percent of the price of the education package as expenses and fees. In this case, 50 percent of the price will be refunded to the student.

If you want to order the service, fill out the form. We will then send an invoice and contact you. You will also receive an order confirmation after paying the invoice.

According to Finnish law, the student has the right to cancel the course by notifying Finnish School Service Oy by e-mail within 14 days of paying the education and admission package. There is also a cancellation form on the website, which you can fill out if you wish. If the student feels that there is a mistake in the service, he can complain to the Consumer Disputes Board or the District Court of Southwest Finland.

They respond to inquiries:

Finnish School Service Oy’s board chairman Aram Farokhizadeh and board member Miikka Hakanen
